About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and caring Nursing Assistant to join our team at Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (MFT). As a key member of our patient care team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

As a Nursing Assistant, you will work under the supervision of Registered Nurses to provide essential care to patients, including personal care, mobilization, and toileting. You will also be responsible for recording patient observations and changes to patient conditions.

As a Nursing Assistant, you will have access to our Support Worker Development Programme, which includes the Care Certificate and clinical skills training. This will enable you to progress to a Band 3 Nursing Assistant role and develop your career within the Trust.

Person Specification

We are looking for individuals who possess excellent communication skills, a caring and compassionate nature, and the ability to work as part of a team. You will also need to have a Level 2 Apprenticeship in healthcare or equivalent knowledge and skills. If you are new to healthcare, you will be supported to complete the Care Certificate within 12 weeks of starting.
