We are currently seeking a Railway Quantity Surveying Specialist to join our team in Enderby, Leicester. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for managing all costs related to our railway projects, ensuring that we achieve the required standards and quality while minimizing costs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying, with experience in construction techniques and mixed-tenure schemes. You will also have demonstrable strong account management and commercial experience, as well as the ability to learn new computer systems such as Coins (Payments & Cost reporting) and Viewpoint/4Projects (document storage and tender preparation).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all costs related to railway projects
  • Ensure compliance with commercial and company procedures
  • Prepare and manage key and large risk subcontract accounts
  • Subcontract procurement strategy and implementation
  • Ensure timely payment and pay less notices to subcontractors
  • Monitor risk and opportunity schedules

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in quantity surveying
  • Degree in quantity surveying or related field
  • Strong account management and commercial experience
  • Ability to learn new computer systems
