**The Role:**

We are seeking a Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our team in General Surgery. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to work alongside experienced staff and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

**Job Responsibilities:**

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Working alongside Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Therapy Support workers, and nursing staff to achieve patient rehabilitation and discharge goals within the General Surgical setting
  • Managing and discharging Amputee patients
  • Following up treatment of patients discharged from Critical Care to the Surgical wards ensuring continuity of care for this complex group of patients

**Person Specification:**

  • Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
  • Registered with Health and Care Professions Council
  • Evidence of specialist clinical training in relevant areas
  • Evidence of broad range of pre- and post-qualification experience
  • Evidence of NHS experience in relevant area of clinical practice

**Salary:** £38,890 - £44,503 per annum

**Location:** The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital

**Working Hours:** Wednesday to Friday, including regular weekend working
