The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in AWS Cloud platforms and associated services, with experience in software architecture and design, cloud technologies, software development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

As an AWS Solution Architect, you will work closely with Product Owners, Architects, Engineers, Architecture Forum, and Delivery Leads to shape emerging work and ensure business requirements are rationalized and translated into effective solution designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and document high-level structure and behavior of IT solutions using appropriate standards, patterns, and principles (Microservices, integration patterns, and techniques)
  • Demonstrate excellent Cloud Technologies skills: Highly Proficient in cloud platforms (AWS) and associated services
  • Implement and verify functionality and quality of IT solutions using appropriate tools, languages, and frameworks
  • Deliver and support IT solutions in target environment using appropriate tools, processes, and practices
  • Work effectively with stakeholders to present and explain IT solutions in clear and concise manner
  • Identify and resolve issues or challenges that may arise during software lifecycle using appropriate methods and techniques

AWS Solution Architect-Desirable Experience:

  • Skills in Kafka
  • Expertise in SOA, Microservices, REST/WS, XML, and JSON
  • Experience in Data Modelling and Analysis using DBS including Postgres and modern JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js
  • Experience of working with geographically disperse product development teams
  • Knowledge of Modern UX functions including Design System implementations/utilization
  • Knowledge about the Education Industry and High Stakes Exams business model

This is a hybrid role with 1-2 days per week in Cambridge/London, offering flexibility. We provide excellent benefits including private medical and Permanent Health Insurance, Discretionary annual bonus, Group personal pension scheme & Life assurance up to 4 x annual salary.

Estimated Salary: £90,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience and location.
