This fixed-term/secondment position is available for 6 months to meet the needs of the service.
An opportunity has arisen to work as a receptionist in the Nant Y Glyn Community Mental Health Team to cover maternity leave for a period of 6 months.
The purpose of this post is to provide an efficient and comprehensive administration and reception service for the service.
The post holder will work alongside the multi-disciplinary team and support in offering seamless care for the population of North Wales.
Main Duties of the Job
To provide comprehensive reception and clerical support for the Mental Health Service. Demonstrating a courteous, professional and sensitive manner at all times, the post-holder is expected to prioritise, manage their time and demonstrate a high degree of flexibility.
To be part of a cohesive and integrated admin function of the service. By the nature of the duties, the post-holder will be required to maintain strict confidentiality and will be expected to deal with patients, carers, relatives, medical/clinical staff and other service users, using the telephone and in writing, with courtesy and discretion at all times.

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) North Wales is a leading healthcare provider, offering a range of services to the community. As a receptionist, you will play a vital role in supporting the team and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide administrative support to the Mental Health Service
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records
• Deal with patients, carers, relatives, medical/clinical staff and other service users in a professional and courteous manner
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Requirements
• Good standard of education - GCSE Maths and English Grade C or equivalent
• NVQ Level 2 Customer Service/Business Administration, or equivalent knowledge and experience, or willing to work towards
• Knowledge of a range of administrative processes
• Ability to prioritise workload
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to function under pressure and meet deadlines
• Good knowledge of IT and Windows applications
• Approachable and professional in dealing with people and able to deal with difficult/emotional situations
• Ability to work alone or as a member of a team
• Flexible attitude towards duties and responsibilities
• Friendly and efficient telephone manner
• Smart personal presentation
• Able to travel to meet the requirements of the post
• Welsh Speaker level 3 or above
