Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our busy Maintenance Team at our production site. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and maintenance of equipment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Carry out a range of planned and reactive engineering activities on site, including maintenance of complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems.
  • Work on various types of equipment, including mechanical fitting, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Conduct electrical fault finding, defect rectification, and routine maintenance activities.
  • Interrogate and understand maintenance problems to provide accurate plant condition information and recommendations.
  • Communicate effectively with operatives and team leaders from both maintenance and production.

Requirements:

  • Apprentice-trained with recognized Mechanical or Electrical qualifications.
  • Good understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues and knowledge of regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in maintenance of plant and equipment, mechanical fitting, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Experience in electrical fault finding, defect rectification, and routine maintenance activities.
  • PLC and VSD knowledge is advantageous.
