Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Area Director to join our Inventory Control and Quality Assurance (ICQA) team at our fulfillment centers. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient management of our inventory and quality control processes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support safety programs and compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates
  2. Coordinate inventory control maintenance and random counts in accordance with network count strategies, ensuring compliance and consistency with SOX
  3. Ensure KPIs are reviewed on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis and perform analysis on any behaviors/processes that could impact on inventory integrity
  4. Conduct measurements of building Space integrity and accuracy, while providing feedback to the Operations management team
  5. Collaborate with all department stakeholders to identify and understand key projects, initiatives and system enhancements
  6. Lead and supervise a team of hourly associates, in consolidation operations and Space, Inventory Control/Quality Assurance projects within the fulfillment centers
  7. Partner with capacity planning to understand risks and plan accordingly both internally and at a network level
  8. Review and analyze customer complaints and any defect data, followed by development of corresponding action plans to reduce future incidents
  9. Appraise performance of team members; developing, rewarding and coaching employees
  10. Drive process improvements and team members' ability to keep pace with our rapid growth, while motivating others and reducing employee turnover
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or equivalent qualification/experience in operations management
  2. Advanced MS Office suite user, especially Excel
  3. Proficient in the local language and English, both spoken and written
  4. Relevant experience in people management
  5. Proven ability to influence peers or stakeholders in varying levels of seniority, within the organisation
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Ability to take initiative and produce results, while multi-tasking and prioritizing in a complex environment
  2. Relevant experience in performing data analysis and inventory topography optimization
  3. Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies and techniques
