Job Title: Intervention Support Worker

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Intervention Support Worker to join our team in a SEMH Secondary School in Bolton, North West England.

This is a temporary position, with the possibility of becoming permanent. The successful candidate will work closely with students who have social, emotional, and mental health difficulties, as well as challenging behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one support to students who require additional help in the classroom
  • Assist in implementing individualised education plans for students with special needs
  • Support classroom teachers in managing student behaviour and engagement
  • Help create a positive learning environment for all students
  • Collaborate with other support staff to meet the educational needs of students
Requirements:
  • GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Relevant experience working with children or young people
  • Clear and current DBS check
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning
  • First Aid certification
Working Conditions:
  • Work primarily in a school setting
  • Full-Time hours, temporary position
  • Potential for occasional evening or weekend work for school events
  • May involve some physical activity such as assisting students with mobility
