Senior Estimator Role

Salary: £55k - £75k (dependent on experience) + Car Allowance, Pension plus contributions, Private Health care

Location: Based in Manchester

About the Client

An established contractor specializing in large building projects has a requirement for a Senior Estimator. Projects include Hotels, Apartments, and High-end fit out.

Key Responsibilities
  • Price bills/schedules analytically and produce quote comparisons using Conquest estimating software.
  • Complete tender pricing for adjudication by the tender committee, including reporting on any risks or onerous conditions, providing a winning edge.
  • Review the client's pricing schedules to understand the linkage/formulas in arriving at the net price.
  • Build up costs of resources for all activities, supervision, and other on-costs.
  • Management of risk register.
  • Maintain up-to-date market knowledge of labour, plant, materials, and sub-contractors.
  • Manage, as directed, enquiries for labour, plant, materials, and sub-contractors.
  • Apply Value Management techniques at the outset of a project.
  • On secured projects, prepare information for handover to the contract team.
  • Measure tender against Decision Analysis and inform Tender Committee on Contract Conditions.
Requirements

Must have experience with estimating software in a previous role (ideally ConQuest).

£55,000 - £75,000
