About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Newville Drywall Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities by performing various tasks including cleaning, repairs, and facility management.

Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs, as well as wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse; make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Safety and Security: Perform safety and security checks to ensure a secure and healthy work environment.
  • Supervision: Supervise other workers and assist with training new staff members.
  • Furniture and Equipment Movement: Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair.
  • Gardening and Landscaping: Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
  • Bathroom Maintenance: Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.

What We Offer:

A competitive salary of $45,000 per year, paid in 20 bi-weekly installments, which is reflective of the location and industry standards.

Work Environment:

You will work permanently in English with a 40 hour work week, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.
