SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at an exceptional all-through SEN School near Cambourne, Cambridgeshire. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with additional needs, fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build strong relationships with students to promote a sense of belonging and support their emotional and social development.
  • Assist in providing high-quality educational activities that cater to the diverse needs of students, promoting their cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
  • Support the Class Teacher in daily classroom activities, ensuring a smooth operation and maintaining high expectations of behaviour.
  • Respond to the changing needs of the school, adapting to various tasks and responsibilities as required.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Grade 4 or equivalent in GCSE Maths and English Language.
  • Understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
  • Previous experience working with pupils with SEN is desirable.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, or ability to commute to Cambourne, Cambridgeshire.
  • Must have a Full-Time Right to Work status.
