Children's Support Worker

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Children's Support Worker to join our team at Brook Street Social Care. As a key member of our residential care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people in our care.
About the Role:As a Children's Support Worker, you will work closely with our team to deliver person-centered care and support to children and young people with complex needs. Your primary responsibility will be to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide individualized care and support to children and young people, taking into account their unique needs and preferences.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, their families, and other professionals involved in their care.
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of individual care plans, ensuring that the needs of each resident are met.
- Participate in the development and delivery of activities and programs that promote the social, emotional, and educational development of our residents.
- Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure that the physical and emotional needs of our residents are met.
- Document and report on resident progress, incidents, and concerns in a timely and accurate manner.
- At least 6 months of relevant experience working with children and young people in a care setting.
- Driver with access to a vehicle.
- Reliable and flexible with a willingness to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Experience in report writing and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Knowledge and understanding of working with children with EBD, ADHD, attachment issues, and other challenging behaviors.
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues, residents, and families.
