About the Role

We are seeking a skilled HGV Class 2 driver to join our team at Backline Logistics Avonmouth. As a driver with our company, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of roles, including Class 1 and 2, Hiab, Dust Cart, Skip, Ro-Ro, Plant Machinery, and ADR work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete all relevant paperwork for deliveries and/or collections as required
  • Ensure daily vehicle checks and defect reports are completed
  • Liaise with your line manager to communicate any issues relevant to the work you have been allocated
  • Adhere to all relevant road traffic and working time regulations
  • Maintain accurate driving hours, working time, and rest period/break records using the appropriate method (digi/analogue tachograph)
Requirements
  • Class 2 license with a minimum of 1 year of experience
  • Maximum 6 points for minor offenses
  • Experience essential
  • Flexibility and variation in work
  • Good knowledge and experience of driving all types of trucks
  • Eager to learn new skills
  • Appreciation of good customer service
  • Hiab ticket and experience an advantage
