Job Overview
Optos is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to join our Global Operations department in Dunfermline. The successful candidate will be responsible for the ongoing development, operation, and leadership of the Warehouse and Logistics Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the Department's business requirements for Goods Inwards, Shipping, and kitting are met by aligning the appropriate resource to the set department area.
- Work closely with Production to ensure all kit supply demands and targets are met.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing compliance on all released Health and Safety procedures for direct reports.
- Day to day supervision of the Warehouse and Logistics team, leading, motivating, and developing staff to maximize their individual contribution and professional growth.
- Support the management of the Warehouse and Logistics Team in recruitment, absence management, performance appraisals, and other relevant activities.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team, leading and supporting activities to adopt best practice on all Warehouse and Logistics processes.
Requirements
- Minimum HND or equivalent experience in Warehousing or Manufacturing.
- People management/supervisory experience within a medium/low warehousing and manufacturing environment.
- Medical devices experience preferred, with understanding of GMP and ISO requirements.
- Excellent leadership and organisational skills.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and motivational skills.
- Qualitative and quantitative analytical skills.
- Valid Reach truck, Aisle Master, and clean driving license preferred.
- Previous experience of ERP systems, ideally Dynamics GP.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Practical experience of Lean Tools and Methodologies.
