Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine to join our esteemed Medicine department at a prestigious NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the development of our critical care services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting and participating in ICU activities, including quarterly Mortality and Morbidity meetings, Board meetings, and weekly Mortality reviews.
  • Joining MDT meetings to discuss long-term patients and contributing to the development of services within Critical Care.
  • Leading the ICU POCUS education programme and co-developing an in-house advanced critical care practitioner programme.
  • Supporting the critical care outreach team and assisting in teaching duties with junior medical staff.
  • Becoming the ICU liaison lead for obstetric patients and continuing to develop a Post-ICU rehabilitation service.
