About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Consultant to join our team at Legado Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and delivering a client portfolio across a diverse range of industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Management: Engage with clients to develop a comprehensive understanding of their projects and identify R&D tax relief opportunities.
  • Technical Narrative: Draft a clear technical narrative to support tax relief claims.
  • Financial Calculations: Prepare financial calculations to support tax relief claims.
  • Financial Expertise: Develop financial knowledge and expertise to better support and advise clients.
  • Client Service: Provide an exceptional client management service to enhance the broader network of the company.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Minimum 2 years' experience in either accountancy/finance roles and/or similar.
  • Education: Technician / AAT/ATT bookkeeping qualifications or accounting degree with 2+ years accounting experience.

  • Language Skills: Good English and Math skills.
  • IT Skills: Good working knowledge of IT.
Desirable Skills
  • Team Experience: Previous experience working in team-based and consultancy environments.
  • Finance Experience: Prior experience working in a finance team.
  • Autonomy: Previous experience of working with managing workload autonomously as well as working within a team.
  • R&D Experience: Prior experience of working with Research and Development (R&D) tax relief, however this experience is not needed.
  • Adaptability: The ability to quickly assimilate new knowledge.
Remuneration

£25,000 - £34,000 dependent on experience as well as discretionary bonus (10% of salary), 25 days holiday.

Job Type:

Full-time Monday to Friday (can work 9-5 or 8-4)
