Our client, a leading R&D tax consultancy, has experienced significant growth over the past five years. With a team of eight professionals, they provide expert services to clients across various industries, including R&D, Land Remediation, and Video Game Tax credits.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Accountancy / Accounting Consultant to join our client's dynamic team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing and delivering a client portfolio of approximately 100 clients across diverse industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with clients to develop a comprehensive understanding of their projects and identify R&D tax relief opportunities.
  • Draft clear technical narratives to support tax relief claims.
  • Prepare financial calculations to support tax relief claims.
  • Develop financial knowledge and expertise to better support and advise clients.
  • Provide exceptional client management services to enhance the broader network of the company.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in accountancy/finance roles or similar.
  • Technician/AAT/ATT bookkeeping qualifications or accounting degree with 2+ years accounting experience.

Essential Skills

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage workload autonomously.
  • Positive attitude, good critical thinking skills, and attention to detail.
  • Good English and math skills, as well as a working knowledge of IT.

Desirable Knowledge & Skills

  • Previous experience working in team-based and consultancy environments.
  • Prior experience working in a finance team.
  • Ability to quickly assimilate new knowledge and work independently.

Remuneration

The salary for this role is £25,000 - £34,000 dependent on experience, with a discretionary bonus of 10% of salary and 25 days' holiday.
