AWS Cloud Infrastructure Specialist
This role requires working onsite 3 days a week at our office, with the option to work from home 2 days a week.
We are seeking an experienced AWS Support Engineer to manage, monitor, and troubleshoot our cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this position, you will handle escalated tickets from first-line support, resolve complex cloud issues, and ensure the security and performance of our AWS environment.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of second-line incidents escalated from the 1st Line Support team, ensuring timely resolution.
- Troubleshoot AWS-related issues, such as network configurations, connectivity problems, and system performance issues.
- Manage and maintain cloud-based systems and services on AWS, ensuring availability, scalability, and performance.
- Handle system monitoring and health checks across various AWS services, including EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, and VPC.
- Work closely with 3rd line engineers, solution architects, and developers to resolve complex issues and implement long-term fixes.
- Automate routine tasks, such as backups, updates, and system scaling, using AWS tools like CloudFormation, AWS CLI, and Lambda.
- Develop scripts for system maintenance, automation of incident resolution, and performance tuning, using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Maintain and update system documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures related to AWS infrastructure.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of AWS core services, including EC2, S3, VPC, and Lambda.
- Experience with automation and scripting, using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Familiarity with AWS CloudWatch, CloudFormation, and infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Proficiency with Linux or Windows Server in a cloud environment.
- Solid understanding of AWS security best practices, including IAM, encryption, and VPN.
