About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Project Cost Controller for Electrical Systems to join our team at Reed Engineering in East Nottingham. As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for managing project costs, identifying potential risks, and developing strategies to mitigate them.

Main responsibilities:

  • Evaluate bid specifications and drawings to identify areas of concern and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain accurate project cost estimates, including time, materials, and labour requirements.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and negotiate contracts.
  • Hold regular meetings with clients to discuss project progress and ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Prepare and submit comprehensive project reports, highlighting successes and challenges.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications for your craft
  • SIGNIFICANT ELECTRICAL ESTIMATING EXPERIENCE
  • A sound understanding of electrical systems, materials, and installation methods
  • Experience of working with Project Managers on electromechanical projects
  • Solid understanding of construction processes and project management principles.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills
  • A proven ability to build strong business relationships
