Job Title: Electrical and Testing Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Electrical and Testing Engineer to join our team at CV Library. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing test equipment solutions for power distribution and control programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the development of test systems from initial requirements to formal release and support.
  2. Design and implement test equipment hardware for qualification.
  3. Execute the requirements, design, implementation, and verification of assigned test systems using sound engineering principles.
  4. Act as an engineering interface to project managers, articulating technical direction and decisions.
  5. Liaise with other functions, such as systems, hardware, programs, manufacturing, sustainment, and stakeholders.
  6. Ensure proper documentation of technical data generated for assigned test systems.
  7. Participate in technical and program reviews.
  8. Provide technical guidance and leadership to personnel supporting assigned projects.
  9. Help coach, mentor, and train less experienced engineers.
  10. Communicate significant issues or developments to stakeholders.

Requirements:

  1. Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  2. Experience in test system design, development, and hardware/software integration, ideally in an aviation or high-integrity environment.
  3. Good problem-solving and solution-building skills.
  4. Excellent communication skills to team, peers, and management.
  5. Demonstrated ability for independent and sound technical judgment, identification of problems, and formulation of solutions.

Desired Characteristics:

  1. Demonstrable success in achieving and exceeding customer milestones.
  2. Ability to deliver solutions on-time, to budget, and with required quality.
  3. Positive attitude, initiative, pro-activeness, and enthusiasm.
  4. Experience in mentoring less experienced engineers.
  5. Experience with aircraft power distribution systems verification labs.
  6. Ability to travel to customer facilities to support and diagnose test equipment faults.
