About the Role:

This rapidly expanding business operates in the Yorkshire and Humber region, offering a wide range of waste management services across 4 sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and determine root causes of incidents.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to recommend corrective actions and improve overall safety performance.
  • Prepare detailed reports on safety performance, including incident rates, trends, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide training to employees on topics such as hazard identification, emergency response, and safe work practices.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with ISO accreditation, preferably managing current company ISO14001 and implementing other ISO standards.
  • Hold a NEBOSH qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
  • Demonstrate proven experience as a Safety Manager with a strong understanding of safety regulations and standards.
  • Show ability to conduct root cause analysis and develop effective corrective actions.
  • Possess strong leadership abilities to influence and drive a culture of safety compliance.

The estimated salary for this position is £47,500 per annum, depending on skills and experience. The successful candidate will also receive additional benefits, including a mobile phone, laptop, company pension, and holiday entitlement.
