About the Role:

As a Senior Construction Project Coordinator at Public Sector Resourcing, you will be responsible for assisting with the provision of cost control in connection with our capital and revenue projects. You will provide estimates and monitor expenditure on our programmes of work, as well as assist with progressing contract and fee payments on a wide variety of projects.

We are looking for an experienced professional who can advise other units on contractual procedures to be followed and produce contract preliminaries for tender documents. Your responsibilities will include selecting contractors, scrutinising submitted tenders, assessing claims for payment and settling final accounts and claims.

You will also assess fee claims received from external consultants and progress capital projects through our financial approvals system. In addition, you will negotiate with our Department of Education counterparts on cost allowances for each project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the provision of cost control in connection with our capital and revenue projects
  • Provide estimates and monitor expenditure on our programmes of work
  • Progress contract and fee payments on a wide variety of projects
  • Advise other units on contractual procedures to be followed
  • Produce contract preliminaries for tender documents
  • Select contractors and scrutinise submitted tenders

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience in a paid capacity working in construction-related project management within the last ten years
  • Experience of making managerial and technical decisions
  • Experience of using the NEC 3 Suite of Contracts
  • Demonstrable experience in the use of AutoCAD

Estimated Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience
