We are seeking an experienced PMLD Teaching Assistant to join our team at NYKays Recruitment Ltd. As a PMLD Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with profound and multiple learning difficulties in a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide individualized support to children with PMLD and SEN on a 1:1 basis.
- Assist teachers in teaching and learning activities.
- Support colleagues in undertaking personal care-related tasks.
- Work collaboratively with other teaching and support staff to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
- Adhere to school policies, including Safeguarding, Child Protection, Behaviour Management, and Health and Safety.
- Experience of supporting children with PMLD and SEN on a 1:1 basis.
- At least 3 months of experience working as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant with special needs children.
- A proven track record of supporting students with complex needs, individually or as part of a team.
- A commitment to working with children with special educational needs.
- Ability to manage confrontation and challenging behavior.
- Ability to adapt and respond to children's needs and plan accordingly.
- Caring, friendly, and patient demeanor.
- Passion for working with children with Special Needs.
- Ability to creatively contribute to the development of students.
- Registration of attendance and supervision of learners as necessary.
- Collaboration with others to develop effective professional relationships.
- Dependability, punctuality, and a hardworking attitude.
