Automation Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our team in Liverpool, where you will be responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of laboratory automation systems.
About the Role- Design, install, and maintain laboratory automation systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Provide technical support and training to customers, operators, and internal teams.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, respond to system breakdowns, and minimize downtime.
- Conduct performance testing and ensure all systems meet quality standards.
- Build strong relationships with customers through excellent service and timely solutions.
- Accurately document all service activities, maintenance schedules, and customer interactions.
- Proven experience in problem-solving and fault-finding skills, including decision making, clear communication, research, and analysis.
- Strong electromechanical knowledge and willingness to work independently.
- Ability to commute daily to the Materials Innovation Factory, Liverpool, and travel within the UK and internationally (after completion of training).
- Physical fitness to handle on-site tasks, including lifting and equipment handling.
- Driving license.
- A competitive salary of £44,000 (based on experience), plus benefits, including 33 days annual holiday, enhanced maternity pay, CPD support, and cycle to work scheme.
