We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Educo Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will support students with complex needs in a dynamic and supportive school environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for making a difference in the lives of children with complex needs and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
About the Role:
This is a temp to permanent opportunity for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting students with complex needs. You will work closely with teachers, SENCO, therapists, and parents to provide holistic support for students, ensuring they receive the best possible education. Your ability to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and care plans tailored to each student will be essential in supporting their learning. You will also use a range of strategies and resources, including visual aids, sensory tools, and communication aids, to support learning and foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for:

- Providing one-to-one and small-group support for students with complex learning, physical, and emotional needs.">
- Implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and care plans tailored to each student.">
- Using a range of strategies and resources, including visual aids, sensory tools, and communication aids, to support learning.">
- Fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.">
- Collaborating with teachers, SENCO, therapists, and parents to provide holistic support for students.">
- Supporting personal care tasks, promoting independence where possible.">
- Managing challenging behaviours using appropriate strategies and de-escalation techniques.">
- Monitoring and recording student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and SEN staff.">
- Ensuring compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
