About the Role

This exciting opportunity is for an Occupational Therapist to join our specialist recovery team, working in our low secure mental health service. The ideal candidate will have experience working in mental health services, particularly in low secure settings, and a strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive occupational therapy services for patients on both wards, working closely with the MDT to develop and implement treatment plans. You will also support patients in acquiring life skills, enhancing independence, and improving overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive occupational therapy services for patients on both wards.
  • Work closely with the MDT to develop and implement treatment plans, promoting patient-centered care.
  • Support patients in acquiring life skills, enhancing independence, and improving overall well-being.
  • Foster strong relationships with colleagues, patients, and external agencies, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Contribute to the development and training of OT students, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices within the service.

Your Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working in mental health services, preferably in low secure settings.
  • Strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team and independently.

£30,381 - £36,480 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including:
