About the Role
Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated consultant to join our established team in Gastroenterology. This is a 1-year appointment with the potential for substantive employment after this time.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care in Gastroenterology, with a focus on hepatobiliary medicine, including EUS and ERCP.
- Contribute to the efficient and smooth running of the unit, prioritizing and managing a high-intensity workload.
- Supervise junior medical staff and commit to formal and informal teaching of medical staff, AHPs, and medical students.
- Participate in audit and research, with the ability to extrapolate clinical research evidence to care for individual patients.
Requirements
- MRCP or equivalent qualification.
- Valid ALS certificate.
- Full Registration with the GMC.
- Experience of supervising junior medical staff and commitment to teaching and audit.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Postgraduate qualification in Education or significant experience in postgraduate training.
- Experience of teaching/training in clinical courses, such as IMPACT Course, Faculty, ALS Instructor, ALERT Instructor.
- Original peer-reviewed research publications.
