About the Role
Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Consultant in Gastroenterology to join our established team. This is a 1-year appointment with the potential for substantive employment after this time.
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading a team of healthcare professionals, and contributing to the efficient running of the unit. They will also be expected to participate in audit, research, and teaching activities, and to develop and implement new ideas for service development and delivery.
Requirements
- MRCP or equivalent qualification
- Valid ALS certificate
- Full Registration with the GMC
- Experience of supervising junior medical staff
- Commitment to formal and informal teaching of medical staff, AHPs, and medical students
- Evidence of participation in audit
- Ability to extrapolate clinical research evidence to care for individual patients
