We are an expanding international M&E consultancy, RED Engineering Design, providing excellent design solutions in the built environment.

Our technical expertise enables digital infrastructure development, helping clients achieve zero-carbon environments.

The position is located in London, UK, with a salary of £70,000-£100,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.

Job Description:

  • Run large projects, undertake client-facing role in development, design, and coordination of engineering projects for Electrical installations, systems, equipment, and facilities.
  • Develop and specify controls, instruments, and operating systems for building engineering services.
  • Survey, test, and conduct dilapidation reports on existing electrical/mechanical installations.
  • Specify activities to ensure manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing meet functional specifications and customer requirements.
  • Make daily decisions on project progress and liaise with clients.
  • Represent company at technical meetings with customers, professional teams, and contractors.
  • Ensure engineering calculations and drawings meet industry and legal standards.
  • Coordinate engineering services and take a holistic view in selecting engineering concepts and solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • BSc/BEng or equivalent in engineering discipline, or sufficient experience.
  • MCIBSE/MIEE or HNC/HND plus experience, or equivalent.
  • Working towards Chartered Eng status.
  • Significant experience in specification design for various building types.
  • Sound knowledge of Health and Safety issues and legislation.
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications and IT-based calculation software.
  • Good understanding of BS standards, UK Regulations, and Codes.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, work to deadlines, and manage projects.
  • Presentation and managerial skills.
  • Support project delivery according to RED Project Delivery Process.
  • Background in consulting or construction preferred.
  • Good understanding of international working and global consultancy operations.
  • Act ethically and follow group Ethics Charter and Guidelines.
