Job Title: Managing Quantity Surveyor

Position Overview: As a Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and controlling all commercial aspects of our projects. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and make a significant impact on our success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and control all commercial aspects of the projects.
  • Support the preparation of accurate budgets and target costs.
  • Provide precise financial reporting on individual projects.
  • Collate, review, and report on other projects within your remit.
  • Supervise, support, and advise direct reports, ensuring adherence to correct procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent commercially related field.
  • Preferably qualified to CIOB or RICS accreditation.
  • Extensive commercial experience, preferably within a contracting organization.
  • Proven ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Proficient in procurement of sub-contractors and monthly measurement cycles.
  • Understanding of suppliers' business and current commitments to other contracts.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent numeric, communication, and computer literacy skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and creative flair.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with NEC forms of contract.
