Capacity Planning Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Capacity Planning Manager to join our Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving our transportation network's efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement short and medium-term operational capacity plans to optimize cost and service associated with staffing.
- Analyze planning gaps and deviations, and translate them into actionable items to improve future plans.
- Collaborate with business teams, including finance and forecasting, to validate and challenge inputs using a data-driven approach.
- Focus on controllership, driving continuous improvement and standardization of processes, including the implementation of planning best practices and automation initiatives.
- Communicate complex analysis and insights to senior leadership to influence and support tactical and strategic business decisions.
- Work with various data sources, identify incomplete or inaccurate data, and escalate discrepancies for resolution.
- Analyze and solve business problems related to data deviations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Participate in global operational and production planning initiatives and projects to identify and adjust to growing business needs.
As a Capacity Planning Manager, you will focus on improving efficiency and increasing reliability in our transportation network. You will work closely with senior management and stakeholders to define project requirements and update them on status, risks, and impacts.
About the TeamAmazon's ATS team plays a critical role in our success, using air, sea, and road transport, as well as sortation centers equipped with the latest technology. Our team captures data and uses it to drive decisions, ensuring our transportation network runs at maximum efficiency.
Requirements- A degree in business, supply chain, transportation, economics, or a technical field.
- Relevant experience working in a supply chain, transportation, project management, or management consulting role.
- Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment.
- Relevant experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including peers and leadership.
- Relevant experience in process improvement.
- Operational background.
- Understanding of SQL.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QuickSight.
