Lecturer in Plumbing

Milk Education is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lecturer in Plumbing to join our team. As a key member of our academic staff, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging and effective teaching sessions, ensuring students achieve their full potential.
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date teaching materials, including schemes of work, lesson plans, and online resources.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of curriculum area targets, working closely with colleagues and managers.
  • Provide academic support and guidance to students, including facilitating tutorials and assessments.
  • Participate in marketing and promotion activities, including open events, school tasters, and enrolment events.
  • Assess and provide feedback to students, using the College's data systems and processes.
  • Lead and coordinate IV/IQA processes within the curriculum area, ensuring consistency and best practice.
  • Contribute to quality assurance processes and curriculum design within the area.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of plumbing systems and technologies, staying up-to-date with industry developments.
  • Complete all mandatory training and adhere to College policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Subject specialism in plumbing (minimum Level 3/4)
  • Cert. Ed/PGCE or willingness to work towards
  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
  • Experience of working in an academic setting and supporting learners
  • Knowledge of the specialist sector
  • Organisational, administrative, and time management skills
  • Ability to use initiative to develop and improve services within College policies and procedures
