Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our Anticoagulation Team as a Higher Level Pharmacy Technician. This is an exciting opportunity to expand your skills and knowledge in a specialist direct oral anticoagulation service.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support the pharmacist-led anticoagulation team with clinic services, providing follow-up telephone consultations and counseling to patients.
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to develop and improve anticoagulation services, ensuring efficiency and safety.
  • Contribute to the development of Standard Operating Procedures and assist in their implementation.
  • Supervise and train other pharmacy staff, including assistants, student technicians, and trainee pharmacists.

Requirements
  • NVQ level 3 or Apprenticeship in Pharmacy Services.
  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPHC).
  • ACPT accredited or willing to work towards qualification.
  • Previous hospital pharmacy experience, including audits, training, and patient counseling.
