About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team on the Acute Medical floor at RSH. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality care to patients and contributing to the delivery of excellent patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support and assistance to Registered Nurses in delivering patient care, including maintaining a safe and clean environment.
  • Assist patients with their hygiene and elimination needs, as well as provide support with pressure area care and nutritional and hydration needs.
  • Accurately record patient observations and report any abnormalities to Registered Nurses.
  • Escort patients to and from other wards and departments, using safe manual handling techniques.
  • Provide clinical administrative support to Registered Nurses, as required.
