Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a senior doctor to join our team as a Locum Consultant in General Medicine. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a clinically led service that incorporates a range of disciplines across 4 acute hospital sites and covers numerous community, specialist, and primary care facilities across a wide geography.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work on a fixed-term contract within a clinically led service
  • Provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of the service
  • Participate in on-call rota and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals
  • Develop and maintain skills and knowledge in General Medicine
About the Trust

We are a teaching hospital that provides services for a population of around 800,000 people. Our structure allows us to work closely with local people and service users to respond to the needs of the community.

We have an emergency department (A&E) and provide acute medical and surgical services, including trauma and intensive care services to the population and visitors to the East Coast. Our new modern Urgent and Emergency Care Centre opened in Spring 2024.

Requirements
  • Current GMC full registration & licence to practice
  • MRCP
  • Participation on GiM on-call rota is essential
  • Minimum 6 months UK experience in the Specialty, minimum Consultant level
Desirable Criteria
  • Care of the Elderly Special Interest
  • Acute Medicine Special Interest
  • Gastroenterology Special Interest
