Job Title: AWS Platform Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced AWS Platform Engineer to join our ITSO organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing new or improved I&O capabilities, automating tasks, provisioning and configuration management, and collaborating with Platform Architects, product/platform teams, security, and network specialists.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience within an IT department.
  • Demonstrable ability to manage and continuously improve infrastructure components such as servers, databases, cloud services, network and storage systems.
  • Experience in IT service management (ITSM) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
  • Understanding of system development life cycle methodologies (agile software development, rapid prototyping, incremental, synchronise and stabilise, and DevOps/ DevSecOps).
  • Demonstrable experience of agile development methodologies (such as Scrum/Sprints, Journey Mapping, Kanban).
  • Experienced in managing and delivering through third-party suppliers, focusing on business outcomes
