About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Cloud Engineer to join our ITSO (IT Services and Airline Operations) organisation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the seamless delivery of all IT services for our Platform.

Job Purpose

The Cloud Infrastructure Specialist will contribute to the design and implementation of new or improved I&O capabilities, bringing skills and expertise to areas such as automating tasks, provisioning and configuration management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lifecycle Management of cloud-based infrastructure
  • Quality Assurance and Release Platform Engineering & Configuration
  • Maintenance, Support & Troubleshooting of cloud services
  • Reliability Engineering & Performance optimisation
  • Task & Process Automation using Terraform and Python
  • Security & Compliance By Design
  • Technology Evaluation & Selection
  • Disaster Recovery Management
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience within an IT department, preferably in a cloud infrastructure role
  • Ability to manage and continuously improve cloud infrastructure components
  • Experience in IT service management (ITSM) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
  • Understanding of system development life cycle methodologies (agile software development, rapid prototyping, incremental, synchronise and stabilise, and DevOps/ DevSecOps)
  • Demonstrable experience of agile development methodologies (such as Scrum/Sprints, Journey Mapping, Kanban)
  • Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud infrastructure tools (Terraform, Python, PowerShell)
  • Experienced in managing and delivering through third-party suppliers, focusing on business outcomes
