About the Role:

Solus Accident Repair Centres is seeking a skilled Motor Engineer to join our team. As a Motor Engineer, you will be responsible for inspecting and assessing motor vehicles to determine the extent of damage and recommend repairs. You will work closely with our customers, insurance companies, and repairers to ensure that vehicles are repaired to the highest standards and that customers receive excellent service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of motor vehicles to identify damage and recommend repairs
  • Assess damage and estimate repair costs
  • Communicate with customers and insurance companies to provide updates on repair progress
  • Work with repairers to ensure that vehicles are repaired to the highest standards
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections and repairs
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive team culture

Requirements:

  • Member of either IMI, IRTE, ATA, or VDA, or working towards certification
  • Good understanding of motor vehicle inspection and assessment principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • PC literate with good administrative skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Empathy, tact, and diplomacy when dealing with customers
  • Positive and self-confident approach
