Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Management Office Lead to join our dynamic team at DO & CO. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in establishing a central Project Management Office and overseeing high-profile projects from initiation to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy and Governance
    • Establish a central Project Management Office to enhance project governance and ensure all projects are delivered within agreed timelines, scope, and budget.
    • Develop and implement governance models, processes, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success.
  • Project Management
    • Establish a more structured and streamlined approach for project management to enhance project delivery and quality.
    • Implement and maintain project momentum through regular touchpoints with operational managers.
  • Technology Adoption
    • Identify opportunities to enhance technology adoption and collaborate with stakeholders to drive change management.
    • Support vendors on development plans to ensure seamless transition to new systems.
  • Data and Analysis
    • Create regular project status updates for senior management, highlighting project performance, risks, and analyses.
    • Conduct market research to identify industry best practices and implement improvements.
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Work closely with business units and clients to identify project requirements and develop efficient project plans.
    • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Coaching and Team Leadership
    • Provide guidance and mentoring to team members to ensure consistent project management best practices.
    • Assign tasks, ensure team members are appropriately trained, motivated, and held accountable.

Requirements

  • A strong sense of ownership and motivation to drive transformation.
  • Previous consulting experience highly encouraged.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint, is mandatory.
  • Valid and confirmed project management certification (PMP or PRINCE2) is desirable.
  • Strong experience developing and managing project plans within various project management frameworks (Agile, Waterfall) involving project management software.
  • Interpersonal skills: Effective leadership skills with different stakeholders. Integrity and approachability, as managers and staff must feel able to discuss sensitive and confidential issues with you.
  • Analytical skills and mindset: Experience in forecasting and managing project budgets, schedules, and project risks.
  • Communication skills: You are an articulate communicator and very comfortable leading senior meetings, workshops, and training sessions as well as engaging from top to bottom-line management.
  • Understanding the airline catering or food industry is beneficial.
