Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor - Planned Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Build Recruitment. The ideal candidate will have experience in planned maintenance contracts, with a focus on decarbonisation works and cost management.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee two planned maintenance contracts, one worth £10m p/a and the other c. £5m
* Ensure proper contract administration and performance monitoring
* Manage costs and budgets, maintaining financial control and mitigating risks
* Prepare and submit monthly valuations, verify subcontractor payments, and negotiate final accounts with clients
* Handle variations and change orders, ensuring accurate pricing, documentation, and client approval
* Lead procurement processes, negotiate subcontractor agreements, and ensure subcontractor performance meets project standards
* Maintain strong client relationships, acting as the main contact for cost-related matters and providing expert advice on cost efficiency

Requirements:

* Significant experience in planned maintenance contracts
* Strong knowledge of cost management and financial control
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
