Job Title: Software Development Engineer

We are seeking a talented Software Development Engineer to join our team at MBDA UK. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting Engineering based Test Equipment software to test world leading complex missile systems and sub-components.



You will work closely with a wide range of teams and stakeholders across MBDA to deliver Test Engineering software capability of products from early concept to production. Your role will involve exploring and experimenting with new implementations and technologies to meet the ever challenging customer requirements.



As a Software Development Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work in a Software Engineering office / lab environment engaging with test equipment and electronic circuitry. You will be responsible for challenging and implementing real change when opportunities arise in the way the software is developed both within test software and the wider software community.



We are looking for a candidate with previous software engineering experience in the development of test solutions. You should have a strong ability to write software in C / C++ and experience with C# and scripting languages would be an advantage to our future strategy.



You should also have proven experience of working with tools such as Lab Windows CVI or Test stand and previous experience working in an agile development team. A strong understanding of what is required to create high quality software and the ability to support quality practices is essential.

What we're looking for:


  • Previous software engineering experience in the development of test solutions
  • Strong ability to write software in C / C++
  • Experience with C# and scripting languages
  • Proven experience of working with tools such as Lab Windows CVI or Test stand
  • Previous experience working in an agile development team
  • Strong understanding of what is required to create high quality software
  • Ability to support quality practices
