Transformative Software Engineer Role at MBDA

We are seeking a talented and forward-thinking Software Engineer to join our team at MBDA UK. As a key member of our software development team, you will play a crucial role in transforming the way we develop and deliver software, driving innovation and excellence in our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and support Engineering-based Test Equipment software to test complex missile systems and sub-components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver Test Engineering software capability for products from early concept to production.
  • Explore and experiment with new technologies and implementations to meet customer requirements.
  • Drive real change in software development practices within the test software and wider software community.
  • Embrace Agile methodologies and deliver value to the company, fostering a sense of achievement.
Requirements:
  • Previous software engineering experience in test solution development.
  • Strong ability to write software in C/C++ and experience with C# and scripting languages.
  • Proven experience with tools like Lab Windows CVI or Test stand.
  • Previous experience working in an Agile development team.
  • Strong understanding of quality software practices and ability to support them.
  • Good understanding of automation, continuous integration, and DevOps principles.
  • Proven experience with electronics measurement and debug techniques.
  • Understanding of communications and serial interfaces.
  • Ability to articulate the benefits of software craftsmanship practices.
