Cyber Threat Hunting Analyst

Estimated salary: £70,000 - £100,000 per annum.

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Threat Hunting Analyst to join our team at NatWest Group. As a key member of our security team, you will play a vital role in identifying and mitigating cyber threats across our organisation.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled threat hunter to work with our feature teams and participate in story refinement, sprint planning, and retrospective sessions. You will be responsible for conducting threat hunts to proactively hunt for the presence of threat indicators across the NatWest Group estate.

You will also be working with threat intelligence to understand the key threats to NatWest Group and establishing methods for detection of identified threat groups. In addition, you will use your knowledge to support the wider organization in building and operating secured services that protect both our colleagues and customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting threat hunts to identify potential security threats.
  • Working with threat intelligence to stay up-to-date on the latest threats.
  • Establishing methods for detection of identified threat groups.
  • Supporting the development of secure services and systems.
  • Collaborating with feature teams to ensure robust security practices are followed.
The Skills You'll Need

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in operation security and risk management.
  • A good understanding of the latest threats and various disciplines across Security.
  • Exposure to cloud security technologies.
  • The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, translating technical issues into business terms.

Please note that we require a background of working in an Operation Security role, as well as experience of setting risk appetites. Additionally, you should have a willingness to learn risk management frameworks.
