The successful candidate will possess relevant experience in student wellbeing or a related field, such as education or youth work. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing administrative support to the pastoral team, including writing reports and referrals.
- Maintaining accurate records in line with data protection and GDPR guidelines.
- Supporting the implementation of effective safeguarding procedures.
- Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with pupils, parents, and carers.
- Challenging difficult behaviour in a professional manner.
- Demonstrating an understanding of social issues affecting children and showing flexibility in supporting families.
- Awareness of legislation related to school attendance and child safeguarding.
- A willingness to undertake further training to support the safeguarding team.
