**Job Title:** SEN Teaching Assistant in Southampton

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in our schools in Southampton.

About the Role:

  1. Provide individualized support to students with SEN, ensuring they have equal access to the curriculum.
  2. Collaborate with teachers to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and adapt teaching materials to meet diverse student needs.
  3. Foster a supportive learning environment, promoting social and emotional development.
  4. Assist in tracking student progress, communicating effectively with teachers, parents, and professionals.
  5. Implement behavior management strategies to create a positive classroom atmosphere.

Requirements:

  1. Relevant qualification in Education or a related field.
  2. Experience working with students with SEN, preferably in a school setting.
  3. Understanding of various special educational needs and ability to tailor support accordingly.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective liaison with students, teachers, and parents.
  5. Patient, empathetic, and adaptable, with a genuine passion for supporting students with SEN.

Key Features:

  • Competitive salary range: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • Estimated salary range based on national averages: £26,500 - £36,100 per annum.
