Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and communicative individual to join our Leonardo UK Strategy and Technology team as a Strategic Initiatives Manager. In this role, you will work closely with the Capability and Innovation Director and their team to deliver strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain relationships across the company to gather and analyze strategic capability development information.
  • Facilitate meetings and ensure agendas are well-prepared and actions are completed.
  • Prepare briefs and presentations for engagements, extracting key information for immediate attention.
  • Support the communications team with speech writing and ensure content addresses the correct audience.
  • Review requests and provide summaries for efficient response.
  • Manage communication flow into and out of the Directors office.
  • Track actions and ensure timely completion.
  • Provide on-the-ground support for exhibitions and conferences.
  • Maintain awareness of business activity across the company and global defence industry.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills to all levels of seniority.
  • Extremely organized with advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure with short timescales.
  • Strategic problem solver with strong initiative.
  • Team member with ability to work independently.
  • Understanding of confidentiality and business agreements.
  • Recent experience working with MOD & UK Government stakeholders.
