Palliative Medicine Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Palliative Medicine to join our team at St John and St Elizabeth Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing specialist palliative care to patients in our Wellbeing Centre and Outpatient Services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and supervision to the medical team, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to best practices.
- Develop and implement comprehensive care plans for patients, working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless service provision.
- Contribute to the development of clinical services and protocols, ensuring alignment with the hospital's strategic objectives.
- Participate in teaching and educational programs, sharing expertise with colleagues and contributing to the development of future healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with other departments and services to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
- Extensive experience in palliative medicine, with a strong track record of clinical leadership and service development.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Postgraduate higher qualification in a relevant field, such as a PhD or Diploma in Palliative Care.
- Entry on the GMC specialist register for Palliative Medicine or CCT due within 6 months of interview.
