A traditional pub located on the banks of River Avon in Keynsham, between Bristol and Bath. It is a grade 2 listed building with a beautiful large garden overlooking the river, a large decking area and a glass conservatory.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our team at The Lock Keeper. As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for leading a team of chefs in the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
You will work closely with the Head Chef to design and deliver new dishes for our menus and daily specials. You will also be responsible for managing the kitchen staff rota, training and all health and safety effectively at all times.

Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of chefs in the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
- Work closely with the Head Chef to design and deliver new dishes for our menus and daily specials.
- Manage the kitchen staff rota, training and all health and safety effectively at all times.
- Develop and implement new menu ideas and specials.
- Ensure that all kitchen staff are trained and competent in their roles.
- Experience as a Sous Chef in a similar environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to train and develop kitchen staff.
