About the Opportunity

We are excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Volunteer Coordinator for Discharge Services at the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust.

This role is responsible for coordinating the activities of volunteers who support patients during their discharge from hospital. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team that aims to improve patient outcomes and reduce the risk of readmission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the recruitment, training, and supervision of volunteers
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clinical teams and community partners
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders
  • Monitor and evaluate project progress

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare, social work)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in volunteer coordination or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
