About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Laboratory Associate to join our Histology team at IDEXX. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for processing tissue samples for our Veterinary Pathologists, performing grossing, embedding, microtomy, staining, and special staining techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process tissue samples for diagnostic evaluation by our team of Veterinary Pathologists.
- Perform grossing, embedding, microtomy, staining, and special staining techniques.
- Set up and run laboratory tests, results according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor inventory of supplies, equipment, and reagents used.
- Work closely with colleagues to exchange information and ensure efficient processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biomedical Science, Animal Science, or Zoology.
- Experience working in a laboratory, setting up, running, and reading laboratory tests.
- Operating laboratory equipment, such as microscopes and clinical diagnostic analyzers.
Working Hours:
This position is for the late shift, Monday to Friday, 2:00pm to 10:30pm. Reliable and dependable attendance is an essential function of the position.
